Get the scoop on everything from produce to parking to pet policies.

Market Season
The Hampstead Farmers Market runs every Saturday June through September from 8:30am to 12pm at the Coppermine Pantherplex (formerly North Carroll High School) at 1400 Panther Drive in Hampstead, MD.
There is no charge for admission, free and ample parking, and handicap accessibility.
No pets allowed, but service animals are always welcome.

Market Vendors
The market normally welcomes anywhere from 25-40 vendors each Saturday.
Although vendors and offerings may vary, visitors can usually expect to find: local, farm-fresh produce; meats, free-range eggs, and dairy; a wide variety of baked goods, jams, and jellies; salsas, marinated olives, and olive oils; plants and fresh cut flowers; local honey and locally-roasted coffee; handmade soaps, and a very wide variety of quality, locally created artisan items and crafts!

Market Features
In addition to vendors, the market also features live music and freshly prepared breakfast for purchase each Saturday, with breakfast sale proceeds benefitting various local nonprofits.
Throughout the season, the market hosts special event days that include giveaways, face painting, contests, and more. The market also collects produce donations for the Westminster Rescue Mission.

Market Manager
In 2020, Keith Johnson, longtime member of the Hampstead Farmers Market Advisory Team, volunteered to take on the role of market manager.
He faced a tough inaugural season due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but managed with grace and dedication.
He remains market manager today, continuing to grow and enhance it year after year.

Market Team
The market is made possible thanks to vendor fees and generous local business sponsors.
It’s run by the all-volunteer Hampstead Farmers Market Advisory Team, which includes: the market manager, town representatives, vendor reps, community reps, media manager, and webmaster.

Market History
A grassroots effort, the market was conceived by local residents Sharon Callahan and Marlene Duff. In 2010, it launched in partnership with the Town of Hampstead and the Hampstead Volunteer Fire Department.
Sharon and Marlene managed the market in an all-volunteer capacity for a decade. It grew into one of the region's largest farmers markets, drawing over 35,000 visitors throughout the course of the season.
